Learn woodworking with Darren Oates

Well known to readers of Wood Review magazine, Darrren Oates is a designer maker based in the Hawkesbury, NSW. Not so well known is his YouTube channel which is a treasure trove of instruction on some of the finer aspects of woodworking.

Darren is also known for the curvaceous lines of his furniture and the machined precision that goes along with an immaculate finish thereof. To date, you can take advantage of his experience to learn how to make a vacuum press, shaper jig and bent lamination formers. In other videos he shows how to use epoxy for curved laminations and how effectively apply finish before assembly.
