8 SEPTEMBER 2025:A big thank you to everyone who entered Maker of the Year 2025, presented by Carbatec. Once again, we've been blown away by the quality, diversity and creativity of your entries. Shortlisting and judging will commence in the coming days with results announced online and in Wood Review magazine in late November. At the same time, Commended, Highly Commended and Top 100 entrants will be individually notified of their results via email.
With a prize pool worth $19,500, the Maker of the Year Awards, presented by Carbatec, are looking for the best woodworkers from Australia and around the world. Will you make the Top 100 in 2025?
Entry is easy, choose the category you'd like to enter below, upload five images of your project, your details and a description of your piece! You can enter as many times as you like and the competition is open to makers from around the world.
In 2025, we’re offering $19,500 in prizes, including $11,500 in cash, across three categories. The Top 100 entries will also be showcased in a special issue of Australian Wood Review magazine and winners and runners-up will be featured on woodreview.com.au
