Resting Lady is a unique coffee table that unites art and functionality in a refined piece of furniture. The table features beautiful, flowing organic shapes that merge into a female figure on top. The pose of the sculpture is elegant and calm, representing a lady at rest. The concept expresses stillness and inner peace. The base of the table is carved from smoked European walnut, chosen for its rich colour and natural warmth. The tabletop combines walnut with pigmented epoxy resin that mimics the appearance of white marble. The female figure — the table’s defining central element — was first sculpted in clay and then cast using a silicone mould. The final epoxy resin casting is hand-painted with enamel paints to harmonise with the marble-like surface. Resting Lady is more than a piece of furniture; it is a visual narrative. Through unique craftsmanship, carefully selected materials, and a subtle story, it invites moments of calm and relaxation in today’s fast-paced world.
