Ash, Ebonized Oak, Brass, Glass. Candelabra set with match holder featuring a variety of bent laminated, turned and hand carved hardwoods. This series of small scale homewares and artisanal utensils blend iconic 17th -19th century American furniture forms with contemporary sculpture, stretching the boundaries of function, and using playful forms to express the internal lives of the people who wield them. In this piece the miniature lamination process is lifted from traditional 19th century ornamental bandings used for inlays in fine furniture.
