This side table was made using an old Jarrah Slab as the 'hero' around which an assortment of Australian recycled hardwood blocks were arranged to fill in the negative space. The blocks and slab are all fitted together with brass pins. The hardwood blocks were stained to disguise variances between the species and to contrast the slab. All blocks were in there former life samples from an architectural practice, while the leg planks were recycled fence palings, species unkown.
