My American Oak Sideboard Cabinet, compasses prominante circular features visible throughout the design, highlighting a range of skills and abilities used in the joinery techniques like the housing, bridle, through mortise and tenon, double-wedged through mortise and tenon, sliding dovetail and dovetail joins, all used to curate the cabinet. Made purley from American Oak, the hallway cabinet has two functional drawers with brushed brass handles for ample storage space. Further, the pivoting doors, interlocked by custom made spring loaded pivot hinges conceal shaped shelves within the carcass for further decor space. The textured pattern surrounding serves as a highlight of my design, showcasing pure craftsmenship and effort to construct. The joinery methods used such as the double wedged through mortise and tenons serve as a testimate to the quality of every aspect of the project.
