Shane Mitchell, Modern Dressing Mirror and Base (WORLD 2022)

I designed this mirror and base to reflect mid-century modern dressing mirrors but wanted to give it a more substantial and rounded feel. To achieve this, the base miters and front drawer feature large flowing round overs that complement one another. I built this one from solid black walnut, and I think the flowing grain looks fantastic spilling over the edge. The attached mirror and sides can be flat-packed, which is excellent for transportation. The full build for this project can be seen on my YouTube channel.
