Andrew McLennan, Lizard Enclosure (Student Awards 2017)

Project started July 2017 and completed November 2017. Materials used: Pinus radiata 70mm x 35mm x 14m, 140mm x 19mm x 13.4m. Pine plywood 12mm x 10 square metres, 17mm x 2 square metres glass. The Lizard Enclosure had to be suitable for a lizard to inhabit it and have sufficient space for it to climb and forage. A top compartment was made to conceal lighting and heating fixtures for a cleaner look. Two cupboards and drawers were added for additional storage space. Dowel joints were primarily used for the frame and rebate joints for bases, top and back. Andrew McLennan, Year 12, Emmaus Christian College. Teacher: Greg King. Photos: Andrew McLennan
