For my 2023 HSC major work, I designed and constructed a liquor cabinet for an interior games room or entertainment setting. The cabinet serves the purpose of storing liquor and being able to present prized bottles in a stylish manner. My project is made predominantly from American Walnut and contrasted with natural Camphor Laurel elements. The main focal points of my cabinet include the intricate and varying angles cut from the dark walnut and the hand carved doors that contour beautifully with the natural grain of the timber. I employed a vast array of timber joinery techniques that have been executed to the upmost quality. These include, mitre joints, domino joints, cross halving joints, various routered housing joints (through and stopped), and chamfered edge treatments.
