As we unfold in our own lives, we may scarcely realize that our passing through time adds to a greater history than our own selfish achievements. Idyllia tells the story of life's transitions. On the exterior face of the door is depicted new beginnings, birth to a rising sun and the transition from spring to summer amidst rebirth and renewal. In the beginning we are a product of our time, bathed in youth and potential. Then (and it happens to us all), we glimpse our setting sun. The interior side of Idyllia reveals the coming moonlight and stars, and the falling leaves of autumn to winter. Like the quail, forever in love, our determined teamwork now seeks to trade adventure for a little more rest. May our one life forever be this idyllia: pastoral, romantic, & content DETAILS Idyllia is a one-of-a-kind, handmade work made completely from verified sustainable African Mahogany, sourced directly from Ghana, with an antique Colbalt-stained and iridised glass panel. No stains or dyes were used; this is the color of the raw material. The door is finished in an organic, non-toxic, tung-oil mixture that is appropriate for outdoor use. The 1910s antique door hardware was completely rebuilt and restored by hand, and is now functioning perfectly.
