This armchair, designed for my parents, makes use of maloof joints, shaped legs, turned spindles, and hand carved touches to infuse a regal nature into a humble frame. The design is inspired from iconographic painting, hence why the floating arms and the curved legs point upwards to the summit of the chair, a hand carved heart in the backrest. The materials are recycled offcuts from wooden countertops.
