This is "Hope". A two drawers dovetail box made with hand tools only. It all started with rough lumber, Walnut, Maple, Cherry, And purple wood. Dimensioned and prepared with hand saws, And hand planes. Handcut joinery with chisels, Mallet and a carcass saw. Through dovetails. Wedged mortise and tenons. Half blind dovetails. Grooves, And dadoes. Lastly, orange oil finish. It represents my Hope to innovate toward the real artisan and human skills of the past. Skills not substituted by machines or power tools.
