American Black Walnut. An old fashioned telephone table with a modern twist - the brief for this cabinet was to provide storage for “the things that we grab on our way out” as well as somewhere to sit to put on shoes. The main cabinet features a striking geometric pattern which hides 4 large touch open drawers which are lined in cedar and suede for handbag and hat storage. The small traditional drawer above the main cabinet is constructed with one angled side and made from from Red Cedar dovetailed into the walnut drawer front which features an ergonomic bespoke brass finger pull and inlaid border. The drawer contains 4 cedar and walnut sunglasses pods which are lined with suede and a seperate leather lined box for keys. Legs are shaped by hand with spokeshaves and offset from the cabinet, fixed with traditional mortise and tenons into the main support rails and pinned with brass at the top. Bespoke shop made brass feet follow the profile of the legs to the ground.
