A simple and sturdy box to store embroidery materials and equipment. It was made for a friend who has recently taken up embroidery and shows quite considerable talent, the box was to help her take her craft with her wherever she chose. Constructed from reclaimed offcuts of Celery Top Pine and Jarrah, a sliding lid held closed by friction allows no metal fasteners to be required. Internally, the smaller compartment provides storage for the cotton skeins neatly lined up and the larger area for scissors and other equipment. The angles of the bottom panel are a reaction to the shapes of the offcuts which were from the deck of a boat.
