"Embrace between North and South" is a staked chair made with hand tools only and solid hardwoods. The whole process, around 50 hours of work is resumed in the 90 second of the attached Instagram reel. Artisan hand skills not substituted by machines. Woods from the South joined with woods from the North. Stock prep, handcut joinery, shaping with hand saws, hand planes, squares, winding sticks, chisels, a hand brace, auger bits, mallets and a gouge. Natural orange oil finish. Not a single machine or power tool. A real hand made chair.
