The "Eclipse" box idea came from a kineograph, otherwise known as a flip book. I imagined flipping the book pages, or legs, and watching the stages of a solar eclipse take place. The solar eclipse theme of a dark center circle and a lighter ring around it was carried throughout the box. A curved pattern of copper and aluminum was added to the top of the box to accentuate the flipping motion. This also gives it a spinning galaxy look which plays along with celestial qualities. "Eclipse" is made out of Katalox, Maple, copper and aluminum. It measures 15.75" x15.75" x 12.5".
