Name of school or tertiary institution, and name of woodworking teacher (if you have one):
Sturt School for Wood- Linda Fredheim

These are the Doble Tables, made from two beautiful native hardwoods, one Tasmanian Blackwood and one Northern Silky Oak. The tables have dual functionality as they can be used on their side or up on end, slid under the sofa and over the cushions to have a handy side table right next to you. They are constructed with mitred joints reinforced by handmade dowels from matching timber. One edge is selectively treated with a round-over profile that travels around the piece continuously. Very fun piece to design and make with the guidance of the wonderful Linda Fredheim here at Sturt.
