Daniel Irwin, Display Table (Student Awards 2019)

A glass top display table with laser cut relief map of the world representing continental elevations to scale. Australian native timbers Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata) and blackbutt (Eucalyptus pilularis) have been used for their richness, contrast and durability, with the table dimensions being 1200mm x 750mm. A wide range of joinery in the structure includes mitred mortise and tenon, corner mitres, rebates, through tenons and turning of the legs. Year 12, Barker College. Teacher: John Dennison
