Often the things we design for aren’t the only things that matter. The Conic table is a response to an evening looking at the bottom of a mass produced dining table from a friends couch. Sure, you see the top of your dining table a lot but if you've got an open plan living area with a couch in the same room you spend a bit of time looking at the bottom of your table as well. A series of conic curves form the arches of the leg structure connecting to a central spine. Eliminating the need for a traditional perimeter apron allows the table height to be lowered to create a relaxed dining position without the apron digging into the top of legs.
