In the land where fairy chimneys rise like silent sentinels, where time carves the earth as deftly as a sculptor’s hand, there once roamed the legendary horses of Cappadocia. Bred for power, endurance, and beauty, they were prized by warriors, coveted by empires, and immortalized in the echoes of history. It is from this legacy that this piece is born, a tribute to the spirit of a land shaped by strength and grace. This table is not merely an object; it is a vessel of memory, a tribute to the power and elegance of these noble creatures. Its surface, an intricate tapestry of burr walnut zebrano, anigre, and burr manzanita unfolds like a story told in wood. A geometric symphony of grains converges, drawing the eye inward, much like the movement of a galloping herd, spiraling toward an unseen horizon. Beneath, the hemispherical base of zebrano defies convention, grounding the piece while inviting reflection, a meeting of the earthly and the celestial. But it is the bearers of this table, the guardians at its legs, that define its essence. Three horses, hand-carved from oak, stand resolute, their heads adorned with the patina of timeworn bronze. They are not just figures of craftsmanship; they are spirits made tangible, remnants of a forgotten age when warriors and beasts moved as one. Their placement, set at deliberate 120-degree angles, ensures balance not just in form, but in story an eternal dance of strength and symmetry. Cappadocia is not simply a table. It is a relic of an imagined past, a meeting of myth and material, a story told through form and craft. Cappadocia is the land of beautiful horses, and now, it is an ode, a myth reborn in wood.
