This Butter Bedside was made to develop my skills as a designer/maker.  Made from red oak, it contains one push-to-open drawer. The carcass is cradled by a frame, which is further secured with through tenons wedged with ebony. The drawer front features marquetry of my own design. For this project I was tutored by the incredible Sturt Tutor Peter Young to achieve my first-hand cut dovetails and marquetry in a product.
