The coffee table was constructed from an off cut piece of Beech timber that was gifted to me. The piece of Beech had already been joined and had a large round piece cut from the centre, that was used by the previous owner for their own project . The off cut sat with me for a number of years before I saw the potential in the piece. Eventually I resawed and re-joined the boards and then proceeded to rework the cut out and fill it with a half lap lattice. Once the top was complete it informed the leg production. It was a fun project that used recycled and gifted materials to construct a table that nods its head at the art of dexterity. I've also recently completed making a dining table and chairs that uses another larger piece of offcut Beech that was also gifted to me. Stay dexterous out there, thanks for reading
