Brian Dawson, A cedar family (ART, OBJECTS 2022)

Photos:

This group of three objects is made from a single cedar verandah post probably at least 70 years old. Each piece is a complex of curves, some gentle, some abrupt and either concave or convex. Upon turning each piece , a different picture is obtained of interactions both within the piece and with it's two neighbours. Thus a variety of different "visual stories "can be told by even a slight turn of each piece The largest is 50 centimters and the finish is highly polished wax
