Wootha Prize is back for 2026
The cancellation of the Maleny Expo in 2025 was met with widespread disappointment, not least because it meant the Wootha Prize competition and exhibition that traditionally runs within the Expo would also not take place.
The good news is that this year the Wootha Prize will once again take place. This year the Wootha Prize will be hosted by Barung Landcare as before, but staged from 1–4 May within another event located in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
The theme for this year's Wootha is "sustainable by design". There are three categories and a first prize of $10,000 on offer. Entries are open now, see barunglandcare.org.au/woothaprize
