Woodworkers all over Australia are invited to be part of the 9th Wootha Prize competition. Your piece must be made from sustainably harvested native forests or plantations, recycled or weed timbers. It must fit within a square metre footprint and it must relate to this year’s theme ‘Against The Grain’.
The process is to submit an application form by Feb 5. Successful applicants will be notified within 10 days and then receive exhibition details. The competition is generously sponsored:
1st PRIZE – $2500 sponsored by HQPlantations + name on Wootha Prize perpetual trophy + free site at the 2017 Maleny Wood Expo
2nd PRIZE – $1000 sponsored by Queensland Water and Land Carers
3rd PRIZE – $750 sponsored by Timber Transitions
PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD – $500 sponsored by HQPlantations
DESIGN EXCELLENCE AWARD – framed certificate
CRAFTSMANSHIP AWARD – framed certificate
