Brisbane’s Timber & Working With Wood Show, the first of a series of capital city events for 2014, kicked off with a blast May 16–18.

In the tradition of years past a Friday morning crowd of enthusiasts, school kids and club members who had bussed in for the day mobbed standholders who barely had time to finish their cappucinos. Activity peaked on Saturday, followed by a midday Sunday surge of visitors keen for new info — and bargains of course.

There were product launches and great deals going. Particularly noticeable were the expanded number of demonstrations by local and interstate craftspeople.

Australian Wood Review had a stand and many took advantage of our great subscription offer! Check out our little movie below, it should give you an idea of the vibe.

You can also hover over the photos taken by Mike Ford to see some names and extra show info.

Sydney it’s your turn next! Visit the TWWS at Sydney Olympic Park from June 27—29 and drop by to say hi to us on the Wood Review stand.
