Around 16,000 people converged on the small country town of Kyneton, Victoria last weekend. Why? To visit the Lost Trades Fair 2016 of course!
Over 100 makers gave an overwhelmingly enthusiastic crowd some real-life understanding of what it means to practise traditional trade skills. Trades included in the mix were blacksmithing, basketry, boatbuilding, bowyers, calligraphers, ceramicists.... Do you get the idea? Literally an A to Z of trades, including those who work wood of course.
Here's a short video tour, some of the sights, and a few short chats with some of the makers. Get planning for March 2017 now!!
