At the age of 25, Japanese carver Ryosuke Ohtake recently demonstrated his virtuosic talent with the completion of his spiny lobster.
Not only does the lobster appear to be extremely realistic, it is also fully articulated as it can bend, straighten and move at every joint as shown in the video below.
The lobster is made from boxwood and 'beard of whale' is carved in the traditional style known as jizai okimono, where freely moving naturalistic figurines are commonly made from metal but also wood. See more about this artist here.
