Spooncarving is spreading like a minor epidemic around the world, thanks largely to social media sites like Instagram and the Blogosphere, and Australians are increasingly succumbing to its charms.
On the first weekend of October, a group of spooncarving enthusiasts led by AWR Contributing Editor, Robert Howard, will be holding the second annual Spoonies in the Tweed, a two day spoon carving festival on a beautiful property near the northern NSW village of Uki.
Numbers will be limited to 40, with a fee of $130 to cover the supply of tools, wood, tuition, camping space, and dinner on Saturday night.
Full details are available on www.tweedspooncarving.com.au or by calling Bob on 0403 161 111.
