For my year 12 final project I chose to design and produce a bar. I got several ideas from google images and changed it to suit mine and my family’s needs. I created my bar using several joints such as; biscuit joints to join all panels together for the structure of the L and to form the L shape red gum slab, half-blind dovetail joints for my drawers and mortise and tenon joints to construct my open face panel. I incorporated redgum from my family’s farm to add individuality and to bring in a warm feel.
