Josh Pinkus is a Sydney maker who started off doing an apprenticeship in carpentry and then developed his skills into custom shopfitting, furniture making and fitouts. The September issue of Australian Wood Review (#88) has a short profile of Josh within a story on bespoke makers and the resurgence of interest in all-things handmade that seems to be happening in Australia.
When we interviewed Josh he commented that he liked a challenge and mentioned one in particular that he undertook for Red Bull. The video below describes briefly his experience when he was commissioned to carve their logo.
