Woodcraft Supplies have just created a virtual revolution with the introduction of their spiral cutterblock refits to existing electric planers.
The Gregory family have a history of being first on the ground with a number of woodworking innovations and releases for woodworkers. In 1963 Keith Gregory, father of Woodcraft Supplies manager Robert Gregory, released the first electric hand wood planers into Australia. ’Makita planers are the most popular planer to come to Australia’, said Robert. Woodcraft Supplies CTS spiral cutterblocks can be retro-fitted to Makitas now, and to other makes and models soon.
For chippies and shopfitters the spiral re-fits are a boon for trimming laminates and MDF without tearout. Other great benefits are noise reduction and the fact that each cutter has four blades to rotate as needed. Edges can also be easily sharpened with a diamond slipstone.
