All over the world, 2020 was a year like no other. For the Centre for Fine Woodworking in Nelson, New Zealand it was a case of business, but not as usual. Seven weeks of lock-down in March and April as well as an abrupt halt to the arrival of international tutors and students caused a complete reshuffle within the school.

In spite of all the disruption, the year finished on a high note, as judged by the quality of work shown by graduates of the full time 2020 Furniture Makers’ Program under the tutelage of David Haig and Lou Fuller.

Over 200 people attended the opening of the exhibition shown at Refinery Artspace in Nelson at the end of last year. The exhibition closed on January 16, however you can click through the gallery above to see some of the work shown.
