Maker of the Year 2024 presented by Carbatec is now open for entries!

The Maker of the Year Awards presented by Carbatec encourage and promote talented and innovative woodworkers from Australia and around the world.

Now in its fifth year, Maker of the Year has grown to be much more than a competition for fine woodworkers. Your work is published on our website from the time it is entered, and many entries appear also on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Wood Review now has well over 500,000 social media followers, so the potential for networking and exposure is real. Along the way, we will also feature selected entrants on our website – the earlier entries arrive, the more scope there is for this.

There are six entry categories, three of which are open to international makers with all categories open to Australian makers. Entry is open to amateur, professional and student woodworkers. Projects submitted for the Awards must have been completed after 30 June 2021.

In 2024, the Student category is open to Australian, New Zealand and international students enrolled in full- or part-time secondary or tertiary study in 2023 or 2024.

There are 12 awards with a prize pool of more than $18,000, including $11,000 cash. Early bird entry is on until April 23, 2024.
