Andrew Potocnik is well known to long-time Australian Wood Review readers, having first appeared in issue 2 of the magazine in 1993. Since 1995 he has written well over a hundred articles for the magazine that range from projects to tool, machine and exhibition reviews.

There’s a desert island type review of Andrew here if you want to learn a little more about the person. Most of us know him best through his extraordinarily creative approach to making boxes, bowls, wall art and sculptural vessels.

In the realms of woodworking, there are no mistakes for Andrew who sees every deviation from an initial plan as an opportunity to take another tangent. Inspiration is everywhere for Andrew, and his extensive world travels have exposed him to a wealth of architectural forms and structures which have also sparked ideas for his wood art.

Publishing a book is new territory for this woodworker, teacher and author, but as of yesterday his book has been launched and is now available online from various retailers.
