NEW RELEASE: A helical cutterhead benchtop thicknesser solution

 

Benchtop means portable convenience and in this case, this new release machine is coupled with a helical cutterhead in contrast to the straight blade system of past models.

 

Hafco's T-330H bench mount thicknesser cutterhead's helical design delivers a shearing action as it engages the workpiece. This results in a significantly smoother finish with reduced chipping and tear-out, along with noticeably quieter operation compared to the loud chopping action of traditional HSS cutterheads.

The cutterhead has 30 replaceable tungsten carbide inserts that are easy to index or swap out. Each of the inserts has four cutting edges so this allows for several changes before having to replace the insert.

 

Another new feature is the clamping system (which is the red lever) which helps to keep wood stable, ensuring the cutting depth won’t change during operation.

 

The thicknesser offers 330mm x 152mm timber capacity, power feed roller, anti-kickback fingers. It has a 1.5kW / 2.0hp 240V motor and 100/63mm dust chute provision for dust extraction.
