Short in length but long on features is the catch-cry of Laguna’s new Revo 18/20 short bed lathe.

The new model has been designed to suit the social and space needs of Australian woodturners who like to gather in clubs, in workshops and of course in schools – anywhere where multiple units are likely to be set up.

Here's a list of its numerous features:

• Powerful HP motor, with VFD and 10A plug
• Ergonomic control panels and smooth speed control with tactile dial
• Control panels can be mounted onto the right-hand end of the bed or onto the tailstock.
• Solid bed, with impressive width of 208mm, made of high-quality steel ASTM A36|
• Speed range change with a one-lever mechanism.
• Headstock, tailstock and toolrest made from cast-iron (low vibration when turning over-sized pieces).
• Tailstock and headstock cam lock levers placed on the back of the machine. Soft grip handles
• Compact banjo redesign with 45° cutout
• Extra thick and stable cast iron floor stand
• Supplied with 2MT four prong drive centre, 2MT revolving tail centre, 75mm (3”) diameter faceplate, knock-out bar, onboard storage

Speeds range from 50–3500rpm, swing over bed is 450mm, between centres 508mm and there is an optional extension should you so choose.
