To get close and up personal with fine timber, tools and woodworking experts on April 9 and 10 head to the Melbourne Guild of Fine Woodworking, 14 Cottage Street, Blackburn, Victoria.
This will be a weekend for woodwork lovers featuring visiting demos from unplugged woodworking guru Tom Figden in addition to other talented instructors from the MGFW.
Demonstrations of traditional crafts will include steambending, tool sharpening, dovetailing, carving by Ronnie Sexton, perch stool making and Shaker oval boxmaking. Timber from the USA will be available to purchase as will tools made by Lie Nielsen, Chris Vesper, Terry Gordon (HNT Gordon) and Testuro Izumitani will be featured at the Hand Tool Event. There will also be an exhibition of MGFW student work.
