Lisa and Glen Rundell, founders and organisers of the Lost Trades Fair have now announced that in 2020 their flagship Kyneton, Victoria event would be hosted by the City of Greater Bendigo.

The larger Bendigo Racetrack venue will host the event which this year at Kyneton saw an attendance of 18,000 – a figure capped after a record 22,000 people flocked to the event in 2018. The first Lost Trades Fair featured 30 artisans. Although this year’s Kyneton event showcased over 90 artisans, as many as 25 could not be accommodated due to space constraints. The new Bendigo venue will allow the fair to grow.

Hopes to host the affair in Ballarat were dashed by today’s announcement, however its continued presence in regional Victoria was met with widespread approval.

Future plans for the Lost Trades Fair include offering more interactive experiences such as courses and workshops geared towards passing on trades.

This year New South Wales will host its first Lost Trades Fair from October 5 to 6 at Hawkesbury Showgrounds.
