Generate 2013 was an exhibition of work by emerging artists and designers who completed JamFactory's intensive two year Associate training program.

This exhibition represents the culmination of the Associates' time in the diverse studio areas of jewellery, ceramics, furniture and glass. Three Furniture Design Associates exhibited their major works.

Andrew Gregg completed a Bachelor of Industrial Design at the University of South Australia in 2007, before working in freelance design and product development at a commercial furniture firm in Adelaide. 'When I conceived Coffee 2.0 I looked to create something that has a timeless quality, simple visual identity and is highly functional.'

Daniel Guest trained at the Australian School of Fine Wood, Dwellingup, WA then made the move to Adelaide and began his Associateship in JamFactory’s Furniture Studio in 2012. He held a solo exhibition, Living: Daniel Guest, at Council of Objects in 2013, and his work has been included in a number of group exhibitions around Australia, including Design: Made: Trade (Vic) and Woodhism (WA). He was the winner of the 2013 Emerging Artist Prize in the Clarence Prize for Excellence in Furniture Design and a finalist in drink + dine + design South Australian Emerging Designer Award 2013. 'The LIST wine credenza was designed to be a simple yet elegant way to display wines and drinks for the night’s entertainment.'

Miao Wang worked as an interactive designer and developer in the entertainment industry in China, before deciding to move to Australia to pursue furniture. 'PIN is influenced by the Chinese ritual of tea drinking — this setting is a place for people to come together, drink tea and share conversation. Within my practice I mix functionality and simplicity by combining traditional techniques with contemporary aesthetics.'
