The Palladio Foundation and the International Specialised Skills Institute (ISS Institute) are offering one international applied research fellowships in the amount of $8,500 each. Applications are open until 25 March 2022.

The ISS Institute is seeking candidates for this fellowship who are interested in exploring new and leading practice, innovation and leadership opportunities in skill enhancement areas within the conservation, heritage trades and artisan skills sectors. However, if you have an innovative fellowship in an alternative field this will also be considered.

The 2022 Palladio Foundation International fellowship provides an opportunity for individuals aged between 18 years and 45 years to acquire higher-level skills and drive leading practice and innovation in Australia. It is intended that the fellowship will demonstrate potential benefits for, and application in, Australia.

Applications should focus on the following areas: conservation, heritage trades and artisan skills. Ideally, fellows would undertake an immersion activity in a centre of excellence aligned to one of these areas. Preference will be given to candidates who will be travelling to Italy as part of their fellowship. The ISS Institute will undertake to assist in making relevant Italian connections where necessary and/or possible.

However, if you have an innovative fellowship idea that sits outside these areas, or if you intend to travel to other destinations, these will also be considered.
