Most of the finishing touches have now been made to the 47 beautiful pieces of woodwork soon to be exhibited by members of the Woodworkers Association of NSW.
Creations in Wood 2015 will feature the work of 19 makers at Lane Cove Gallery, 164 Longueville Rd, Lane Cove, NSW from Wed 16th September till Friday 25th September.
Professional makers represented include Darren Oates (pictured above), John Gallagher, Peter Stibilj, Richard Crosland, Takashi Nishiura, Alex Springall and Warwick Wright. The youngest exhibitor to take part is Mitchell Sargeant, winner of the Les Miller Memorial prize presented by the NSW Woodworkers Association to the best HSC student in 2014.
The pieces range from tables through to wall art, chests, boxes and turned items. A series of artists’ are planned for Saturday Sept 19.
