From 9 August to 20 September, In the Making will present the work of four makers whose work demonstrates how ideas are shaped by process. The makers represented are Emma Davies, Noriko Nakamura, Michaela Pegum, Makiko Ryujin.

Each exhibitor has honed a distinct material practice, from woodworking and stone-carving to electroplating and textiles. The artists work with their chosen materials as autonomous collaborators, alive with history and spirit.

The exhibition explores the essence of making. It highlights the relationship between the artist, their craft-based skills, and the ways they express ideas through material process.

See the exhibition at Craft Victoria, Watson Place (off Flinders Lane), Naarm/Melbourne.
