This chess set is made from Huon pine and red cedar. I tried to use as much recycled timber as possible so all of the red cedar is recycled whist the Huon being rarer it had to be purchased. Joints used included dominos, dowel joints, butt joints, rebates and lapped dovetails. It was finished with a mix of clear polyurethane and French polish.
