Each year, the Kiama Woodcraft Group’s Woodworking Expo attracts enthusiasts from the South Coast, Southern Highlands and Sydney, welcoming around 2,000 visitors over a lively weekend – and entry is completely free. As an added bonus, the Expo occurs on the same weekend as the Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival.

The Expo brings woodcraft to life with continuous demonstrations by skilled club members, including woodturning, carving, fretwork, and boxmaking. Whether you are a seasoned craftsperson or simply curious about the art of working with timber, there is always something to inspire.

A highlight is the on-site specialty timber merchant, offering a rich selection of native and exotic timbers. Choose from dressed slabs, smaller lengths, pen blanks, and striking burls – ideal for your next project.

As usual, hand tool expert John Daniel will have a large selection of quality restored hand tools on sale. You will also find a diverse range of handcrafted items for sale by KWG members, all at very reasonable prices.

The Expo takes place on the weekend of March 7–8 at Kiama Masonic Hall, Collins Street, Kiama NSW. The hours are 9am – 4pm Saturday, 9am – 4pm Sunday and entry is free.
