Bevan Blackshaw, owner of Brisbane-based Timber Dimensions, has been included as a finalist in this year's Etsy Awards. Etsy is a global craft marketplace offering opportunities for small businesses to have a global market presence.
Each year Etsy Awards are made to celebrate excellence in design in six categories, Home and Living, Fashion and Accessories, Art & Illustration and Paper Design, Lasting World, New Talent, and Community Choice (selected by public vote).
Bevan has entered and been accepted as a finalist in the Home and Living category with his unique Lob Up folding stool / side table. A product of some years of product development, Lob Up addresses the problem of extra seating for apartment living by folding flat and taking up very little storage space. The item can even be stored hung from a wall as an attractive piece of art.
Lob Up is currently available with a seat height of 600mm and will soon be available in 450mm and 750mm high variations making the item suitable for a wide range of applications, dining table, kitchen or bar use.
Timber Dimensions is a small home based business manufacturing home wares and furniture. Key products include their folding stool as well as serving boards using sustainably harvested / salvaged materials.
