Thirty years ago, in 1984, Trevor and Annette Allwood, opened a small woodcraft showroom in Tolga, located in the Atherton Tablelands, Far North Queensland. ‘We were lured by the love and beauty of the local timbers, seduced by the imagination of the artist and inspired by the passion of the craftsman’, said Annette.

Since then, the gallery has grown in size and reputation. Many talented artists working in wood, steel, glass and ceramics have made this gallery one of the finest and most enduring in North Queensland.

To mark the occasion 30 artists were invited to create 30 pieces for an anniversary exhibition.

The exhibition is open until October 5, 2014.

Tolga Woodworks Gallery & Cafe is located at 91 Kennedy Highway, Tolga.
