In a fast moving video Simon Roy takes you through a process that highlights the need for and measures taken to get the required accuracy. Repetition and consistency are the order of the day.

This is his 10th segmented vase and made of maple, sapele, bloodwood and wenge. ‘I used a new assembling method for this one, a homemade conic centring jig. It’s a bit more time consuming but more accurate.’
