Jack Everingham, Resin River Top Bar (Student Awards 2019)

For my HSC project I decided to make a bar with many functioning components. These components consist of shelves, doors, drawers, wine racks, beer coasters and more. The timber used to construct the bar are ironbark and camphor laurel. Every piece of timber used in the bar was harvested, seasoned and dressed by me. To give the bar more aesthetic appeal, I inserted a blue resin "river" through the middle of the top slab of timber which turned out amazingly well. Throughout the bar I used many effective joinery techniques such as tenon and eedge, domino, dovetail, dovetail key, half lap, mitre and more. Year 12, Trinity Catholic College Lismore, NSW.
