Brittany Nash, Floor Clock and Cabinet (Student Awards 2017)

Australian jarrah, 1900 x 250 x 350mm. My parents wanted a floor clock to put a the base of their staircase. It has Edwardian elements in order to match the architecture of the house. While the clock has a traditional design, it includes a shelving cabinet to display personal items, thus making it unique. Its made of Australian jarrah and jarrah veneer, and uses a variety of joints. Brittany Nash, Haileybury Girls College, Victoria. Teacher: Stephen Hughes. Photo: Kamsze Nash
